Created as a result of Massey University-funded research into New Zealand Self-Taught and Visionary art.
The research included a nation-wide survey and the collection of over 3000 slides of 2- and 3-dimensional works from previously unknown artists.
Aims to create a context for these (and subsequently documented) works, by way of a proposed taxonomy and publication of critical writing on the forms, artists and exhibitions&
