Chrysalis Seed's mission:

To help resource visual artists from a Christian perspective

Chrysalis Seed Trust has taken on a challenging role in terms of its function in a secular society.  All the evidence at my disposal suggests that they are succeeding – the range of their contacts, and the sheer quality and readability of their CS Arts publication are rich testament to this

Chrysalis Seed: serving the New Zealand arts community

The Chrysalis Seed charitable trust is striving towards a multiplying movement of artists as lifelong followers of Jesus throughout Aotearoa/New Zealand. We want to see:

  • Artists engaging with both contemporary culture and their Christian faith in a creative, professional and relevant way
  • Groups of artists meeting with new vigour, vision and life
  • Exhibitions showcasing the art, values and community of these networks.

Chrysalis Seed’s services

To help inspire and equip artists, we provide access to information and resources through our website and our art & faith library.

Artists can connect with each other and profile their work in the chrysalis seed arts community, an online networking space.

For seven years the CS Arts magazine told the story of contemporary Christian art in New Zealand. All the articles, interviews and reviews can be explored in the CS Arts archives – online or in the library.

We keep artists in touch with what’s going on through the six-weekly e-newsletter and CS Prayer.
